Wow. For the second time, my insurance policy decided to discontinue coverage of my single family rental, this time saying that I must replace my current roof to continue coverage. During this debacle, I learned a lot about the Florida Home Insurance market and the insights are telling of the current – and potential future – difficulty in the insurance, housing and consumer marketplace.
This challenge has prompted me to get a new roof and change my previous plans by selling this property in addition to my first, which we sold a few months ago.
